About Rookie Burwick
Rookie Burwick Bradford was born on August 13th, 1965 in Denver, Colorado. Ever since he was about 5 years of age, Rookie remembers loving to film with his old camera which he found in his parents' basement. He also seemed to have a passion for art and cartoons. He spent most of his time with his Grandmother after his mother died of a terrible infection and his father had to travel around as a salesman. At the age of 17, he went to Westbow College, and studied Film, English, and Art.
Then, he moved on, meeting Ms. Nell Davis, and marrying her 2 years later. After their marriage, Rookie went on to become a film director. He got his first appliance in a TV Comedy show, Mr. Patrick, directed by David Newton. He wrote the screenplay for many episodes, then began his cartoon career. He tried hard to remember all the little details about Art which he had learned in college. He passed on through 7 months of practice before finally starting his first official comic strip, BACK TO PREHISTORIC.
Then, he searched on for more options to becoming a full time director, and ran across Frank E. Peretti's novel, Monster. After finishing it in June of 2013, he began writing a screenplay based on the book, and got permission to make it.
Rookie lives in Salida, Colorado along with his wife, Nell and his brother, Patrick Bradford, who also works on BACK TO PREHISTORIC.
